Forums - Nintendo Discussion - starting a show like nintendo week on youtube to help third parties on wii.

My twin and I are sick of all the good third party games selling so poorly on wii do to marketing. So We thought if we post a weekly show everyweek on youtube and get a really loyal following and market it on facebook vgcharts and gaming websites that we could inform the masses about games and where they can get them for low prices. So what I need from you members of vg charts when I get the show up is to post it on your facebooks or any social site you have and talk to it about people.

Also if you have any requests of games you would like to see marketed or any problems the wii needs to be fixed like the low connection rate with your help and commitment we could really help third parties out and inform the masses and have a much overall postive experince with there wii's.

Please let me know if you wil support this or if there are anythings you would like to see on the show

Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true

Biggest pikmin fan on VGchartz I won from a voting poll
I am not a nerd. I am enthusiast.  EN-THU-SI-AST!
Do Not Click here or else I will call on the eye of shinning justice on you.

I have not started the show yet because I want to get feedback from people so that I know people are interested and will help market it for us.

For the first show we plan on showing off little kings story, Silent hill shattered memories, how to hook your wii online, and are downloadable picks of the week and maybe a view mail question...

I have taken a few marketing classes and I want to see how powerful social media can become with the help of other people

Sounds like a good idea..........you must really care for the third party greatly then. Alot of heart and dedication should make this weekly show of yours just as or better than Nintendo Week, IMO.

"The Common Cold Isn't So Common During The Cold"

If there are any games people want on the show let me know... were planning on marketing no more heroes and capcom vs tatsunoko when sales for those get slow... also we really need everyone's help to promote this it could be a big help for third parties on nintendo

Great idea man. Here's some starting advice:

- Highlight Wiiware games. These developers work very hard and deliver very unique experiences and should be supported

- Advertise on IGN, Gamespot, Gametrailers...etc. I've noticed recently that a lot of users on each of those websites have gotten sick and tired of hearing that the wii "has no games" so they will be ripe for the picking.

- Some games to highlight: Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, No More Heroes 1 + 2, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, Madworld, The Conduit, Little King's Story, Rune Factory, Klonoa, A Boy and His Blob, de Blob, Spectrobes: Origins, all Resident Evil games, Dead Space Extration, and Muramasa: The Demon Blade.

- If you want reactions and reviews of any of the the aforementioned games you can pretty much request as much in a thread.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

I don't have money to invest in websites but if you guys would like to post links on those sites for me and spread though word of mouth and social media sites... but yeah I pretty much have all those games... what makes us different from nintendo week is that were going to focus more on third party games that are wii online or really make great use of it. also if we get big enough were hoping to have interviews with developers over wii speak or have them answer questions... but most likely they will be indie games like bit trip and such..

Oh, no need to actually spend real money on advertisements. I just meant post in the respective forums and post a link to the youtube channel.

If I'm going to do this show I'm going to need a least a handful of people to help me market the game by going on there facebook posting the clip on there wall talking about it at other gaming sites and show it to other people... if you want to help please add me as a friend or message me on how you would like to help.

The first show will be coming out in a week. I'm just gathering prelimnary data and marketing to help it out..

the reason why just dance sold so well is cause of the youtube platform which costs them nothing to market... so I think if we could get a loyal following it would really help out third parties... even more if its marketed by both mainstream and hardcore
