Why not simply get a monitor with display port rather than buying a monitor plus an active display port converter?

Well, I already have three, so it's a bit late for that now, ultimately. But I already had one before the 5800s were even released, and Eyefinity was announced, and I didn't really wanna mix and match monitors for the setup, so yeah.
