My favorite final fantasy game is FF7 because it was my first FF game ever and brings back so many memories. :)

Pure Nostalgia! 

Final Fantasy IX, simply because I played it the most and enjoyed it more than the others. It had a great soundtrack and a decent story.

My favorite Final Fantasy game always changes based on my mood...so yea...

Hmm... I'd have to say 5, because the story, while weaker than 4 and 6, was still decent, but the hooker for me was the customization options for the characters. (ie, the job classes) This variety had me wanting to do several different things, some of course working better than others.

Right behind 5 is 6, for a sheer epic story that is mostly unrivaled even today (and definitely unrivaled by current S-E projects), and the way that the sprites were able to convey emotion so well. Of course, I could keep going, but... well, I know 5 isn't a popular one, but I don't think 6 really needs much defending...

I have to say FF X, great story and combat.

FF8 - Best main character, gripping storyline, awesome battle system for the time, and because it was my first RPG ever played!

My favorite game of all time in fact.

FF4( which was FF2 on SNES) my 1st FF and RPG period..it open the doorway for JRPG for me which will 4ever be my fav genre

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers, it fun, and its the only one I've played

Final Fantasy 6 because it has an incredible storyline, a good villain (Kefka is one of the best villains ever), some great side stories, polemic stuff (teenage pregnancy and suicide) etc.
