Well... a confession... I suck really hard at Mario platformers too. Couldn't beat Super Mario Bros 1, 3 and World. I only beat Yoshi's Island, Super Mario Bros 2 and New Super Mario Bros Wii. I'm glad they lowed the difficulty level because I became frustrated on World when I was young and I bit my controller's cable. There are still my teeth marks on it... good old days.

It seems strange that you beat Mario 2 and not the first one I thought Mario 2 was a whole lot more difficult than the first one.

PS. Has anyone beat Mario Sunshine that is one tough Mario Game.

I couldn´t beat the last boss in Jet Set Radio Future(Xbox). I tried it for hours but just keep on failing and given up.

I broke a controller after dying several times in last Black´s checkpoint (PS2), but finally made it.

I played Sonic Adventure on Dreamcast from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m , only stopping to eat 2 times , 5 minutes each.

In PES 4 professional mode i was 0-3 in last 15-20 minutes (~2 minutes real time), then scored 4 goals and won.

I spend 4 hours before finding the solution of a Nomad Soul (Dreamcast) puzzle.

I used to play PS1 in my garage late at night and my brother used to sleep in a room just above. The next day after starting the first Tomb Raider, he told he heard a woodworm eating my furniture all night.. it was Lara´s noise when walking.

A confession.....I suck ass at Mortal Combat games. Another confession......It took me a month to pass the snowboard stage in Megaman 8.

well this isn't necessarily a retro story, but its my favorite vid game story. I am the youngest of three brothers, and one year all I wanted was a ps1. I got one as a birthday gift and was flabbergasted as it was my first game system (one that was all mine and I didn't have to share). After having it for about 2 months my mom sees my brother at best buy buying a ps1 and she is like what the heck?? Well i guess he was playing one of his sports games and got all aggravated and broke the system so he was out buying a new one before I got home from school and knew. He wouldn't of been caught if my hadn't of seen him at best buy.

My confession: No matter how hard I tried, or how many times I pressed the reset button, I could not pass stage 6 on Double Dragon II: The Revenge for the NES. EVER. Does anyone remember that bitch of a stage? You know, the one with the impossible stalled jumps, vanishing platforms, and spikes that when they impale you equaled instant death? Yeah, if you don't know what I'm talking about, don't lose sleep over it. Believe me, those are the things in life that cause aneurysms.

I passed that stage... I think 2 or 3 times in my life.  I went crazy and decided I absolutely had to beat that game.  But you know what happens after all those jumps?  The boss comes out and insta-kills you on your last life and last continue.  It's horrible.

Confession: I am still addicted to Final Fantasy VI, the characters in that game might be even better than the infamous cast of FFVII. Damn I love that game the split missions, the espers and

spoiler alert

The end of the world, god I wish I had got to experience the esper world that was removed that would be so awesome.

P.S. If you didn't like the Opera scene then you should never be allowed to play Final Fantasy Again.
