Its to late. I'm gonna give my money to the 100 other things thats coming out this year and this is from a big GTA fan.

lol I never will understand this ridiculous stand people have.

"ooh it's too late"

If GTA is a favourite of yours, and some great content is coming out for it, but you're putting it aside clearly because they neglected to give it to the PS3 straight away, you're cutting your nose of to spite your face.

Your loss.

Excitement for anything dies down over time...its just human nature. Everyone is excited on their wedding day but a year or more down the line? Not so much...The same applies to games and gaming related content. People just cant be hyped forever.

Really bad analogy, of course someone is going to be more excited on their wedding day rather than a day looking back on it 2 years later.

Hype doesn't matter, the actual content does, and that's exactly the same content as the day and date release on the Xbox. The experience isn't any less.

The "excitement" in my analogy is in reference to the actual marriage not just the wedding day itself. The wedding day signifies the start or the marriage aka the launch date of the game.

Regardless of the content, I would argue that late/old things just get overlooked no matter how good. There are many times I was wanted certain games when they released but just didn't have the money. Later down the line when I did have the money, I had simply forgotten and never got around to buying them again. You maybe speaking of an "ideal" situation here but in reality, while the experience may be no less, it would still be overshadowed by new games on the pipeline.

How else would you explain the sales of Bioshock ps3? Do you believe that it'll have sold the same if it launched on the same day as the 360 version or at least much earlier than it did?

There is no need to explain to me there is truth in what you're saying, I believe you. I just believe gamers are choosing to miss out due to ridiculous reasons. If LBP was announced for the 360 this christmas, I'd be anticipating it and putting on my list near the top.

Again i stress, he stated he was a GTA fan ... so why wouldn't you get this if you're a GTA fan?

I think I get your point now. My only explanation would be that he grew bored or GTA4 gameplay over time or values fresh new gameplay more now? lol, IDK if that makes any sense. I guess it's only geddesmond2 who can explain himself.

Possibly, although the DLC is great and most say Gay Tony is a step in the right direction. IMO a game is a game, I could care less about a hype or timed releases, that'll never stop me getting a game.

it looks credible.... because?

Because it has a nice picture?  It must be real!  Or maybe not.

OT - I'll just take this as another probable mistake or bit of 'visit our websight' skulduggery until confirmed otherwise.  Unless Rockstar were feeling particularly benign I do expect this to hit PS3 at some point as I'm sure they only agreed to a timed exclusive.

At the time I'd say Rockstar held the better position than MS, and the evidence with other titles seems to suggest that MS is quite happy to settle for timed exclusives for stuff like this.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

*sigh* some people just like to jump the gun so quickly that they miss the simplest answers

With all the hype coming out of Mass Effect 2, Heavy Rain, Alan Wake, God of War III, etc, do you think anyone's really going to prioritize a re-release?

I jumped the gun because I know who I'm talking to. and he was a big fan of GTA. So yeah I expect a big fan of GTA to put this at the top of their list.

If he's a big GTA fan he most likely bought GTA IV already, just like I'm sure you assumed too. Now that we're on the same page, I hope you also don't think he's going to pay full price for a rerelease of an old game with the only incentive being year old DLC. Especially when there are entirely new games?

New game>DLC

Except it isn't a rerelease of an old game, if you knew anything about it you'd know it's both DLC's on it's own disc. That is likely NOT to retail around the same price as a full priced game. Go do your research.

IDK how much the usual game cost in England, but I will not pay (assuming the pound still is twice as much as a dollar) 60 fucking dollars for 2 DLC.

Akvod, I don't care what you want to spend your money on.

£40 is the normal price of a retail game here, so it'll be maybe $40 in the US.

And it's not just any DLC, it's the best DLC to come out this gen and they last a fair few hours.

Both episodes hmm how long are they ? Are both together as big as the nico bellic story ?

If this is real for what has MS payed ? 50 Million for timed exclusivity ? Of 2 DLC Episodes ?

They should have produced their own first party game with 50 Million they could have made a really big game. And start a new franchise.

If it has a box art and a price it's REAL no matter what Remedy and Microsoft said.

And look, Alan Wake is coming for PC on 28th May!

If 40 pounds is the normal price of a retail game, it should translate to 60 dollars here (the normal price of a retail in game in the US). That's why you guys were pissed at MW2 being charged 60 pounds right?

Anyway, it's guaranteed that England is getting ripped off, as they're charging the usual retail price of a game for 2 DLC.

God, I'm not even sure if I want to buy it. They ignored it for too long. Not to mention that I already played it on the 360 (But I sold it, bad decision)

It's very arare any game is more than £40. Wherever you look, GTA DLC is less than £30. I saw it for £25 new in GAME the other day
