Has anybody else run across mod'd weapons on borderlands? 

I was hosting a public game and after completing a mission this lvl 50 player dropped about 2 dozen weapons and left.  the weapons are ridiculous.  dmg levels 100,000+, infinite ammo, full clip burst, and the weapons look wierd like they are missing parts.  Some of them don't even have names or user levels.

I was playing borderlands on a ps3 as a lvl 50 Brick and i havn't found anything like these weapons in the game naturally.

I've come up with this issue online as well, especially when playing on Hamachi. There are a few editors up already which allow you to mess with the weapons stats. Pretty much makes it impossible to have a fair and decent duel. There should be a patch to address this issue, but unfortunatly, there hasn't been any talk about it.

Having these weapons completely turned me off to the game, there's just no challenge. Luckily I had gotten my platnum trophy the day before so I was about done with the game anyways.

Oh you mean on the PS3? I didn't think that was possible. There must be some kind of exploit. On PC it's happening a lot.
