Just in case you didn't read through the posts in that 3870 fix thread, several people are reporting that the game actually caused their 3870's to overhead and caused permanent damage, requiring a replacement.  It only seems to happen to the "No Signal" crashes. 

Seems like the risk is low, but worth noting.

No, not fixed yet. I decided to move on to Mass Effect 2 while hoping for a fix... Otherwise, I'll have to wait until I get a new videocard, apparently.

@Epoch: I only read the first post and a couple of the last (at that time). Thanks for pointing that out. I won't be trying it again until an official patch of some sort.

And thanks to everyone for the troubleshooting.
