Its the 82 that it got from game trailers that brought it down. I feel like it will end up at 88 or 89... due to some bastard reviews.

82 is still really high.

Good God

This game is reviewing like the Wii's answer to Bayonetta

Edit: to clarify I do not take this as indicative of the quality of the title, I am just commenting on how interesting it is that the press is reacting to it this strongly

Haha, that's a funny way to look at it.  I thought MadWorld was Platinum's answer to the first No More Heroes.  Looks like both teams cleaned up their act a whole bunch for NMH2 and Bayonetta.

(I can't wait for Platinum's 3rd game to come to America... a DS game about building spaceships, what the hell?)

I should say the Wii fan's answer to Bayonetta, I suppose, since the development of these games have nothing to do with each other whatsoever

I also look forward to that spaceship game, but I dunno if it will ever make it over here

The spaceship game is called 'Infinite Space' and it is 'apparently' being released in the us and europe/australia(the site I buy games from has it listed as coming in march and usually only advertises stuff that has an official /legitimate release date so I'd say it was)...I like platinum/clover but I may give it a miss...doesn't sound like my bag...

Sigh I wish there was an australian release date for No more Heroes 2!

They gave it the same score as the first, despite saying that it's much much better and corrected the flaws from the first...

Most of the reviews are way better this time around. This is great to see. I don't remember the last time a sequel did this much better. For example, IGN gave the original a 78 and gave the sequel an 88.

But GameTrailers gave both games the exact same score. That's kinda weird. It's like they think both games are completely interchangeable and you can't notice the better graphics, more bosses, the ability to teleport across the map, more playable characters, more and better mini-games, more things to do with your cat, more clothes, giant robots, and pimps who throw their hos at you. I think they should've at least given it an 83 for adding one billion new awesome things, and taking away the few awkward mistakes of the last game.

Damn, the user review average even went up from 85 to 93.

I think it's the only way for them to review it.

The first one got such huge scores... despite it's many flaws... that there isn't much room to go when EVERYTHING has been improved.

It's a problem they tend to paint themselves in a lot, but rarely does a game seem to improve on all the flaws.  (Other problems then the ones i mentioned that others had, making the jobs more fun (retro prolly does it), multiple styles of fighting... etc.

Not really something that has to do with being reactionary to bayonetta.

It got a nother 100 from Gamer Road... I don't know if their score gets included in metacritic though... I hope so, it would be back up to 90
