Explicitgamer did a good job on putting a misleading title to cause controversy and score hits on their site.

"Probably not a big commercial success but critically I think it will do well" - Pachter

It's a fair comment since the game will not appeal to everyone considering the type of game it is and the first review is a good score already.

The hate is ridiculous. He says it's the kind of game he enjoys, just that it probably won't sell. All these Pachter hate threads seem to be based off of stupid bloggers and not the actual video.



Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

Haha well thank you for stating the obvious. But of course when Madworld doesn't do as well, it's because it's Maturez haha... not new ip and niche. Oh well.

Ehhh...I doubt Jesus kung fu is a Sony fanboy.

 

OT: Gr8 news!!! so if Heavy rain manages to sell 1m+ it will be seen as huge success as a lot of ppl,analisist or media thinks it will fail, Keep em comming!

I think the game will be critically-acclaimed as well and I'm definitely looking forward to trying it out, but I gotta agree with Pachter about the improbability of the game being any sort of commercial success. I think the most optimistic, and yet realistic, expectations have it slowly squeaking past 1M lifetime.



It's all about the game.
