Maybe I just don't have my TV loud enough, but I've never found the progress bar noise annoying...

Anyways, I like the channels, it is sort of like Icons on my desktop, so it is good enough for me. I have all my WiiWare/VC channels on the second page, so they are organized to my liking. On the first page I have all my channels and stuff. I can see how someone who is used to the PS3 (and X360?) wouldn't like the Wii's interface. Honestly I have no preferences as they are all good enough.

Personally, I love the power brick, as it moves all the heat it generates away from the main unit. Less heat = less wear, and it hides perfectly behind my entertainment center, so no worries. Considering all the other devices that have power bricks and how long I've lived with them, again I don't care.
