Forums - PC Discussion - Machinarium is BRILLIANT.

I finished it last night and the game is just a joy to play, even when you get stuck (which you will)

You can tell that the devs - Amanita Design (Samorost series) - put their hearts and souls into this. You can see it in the characters, environments, puzzles, music, pacing, everything.

The genre isn't everyone's cup of tea (point and click) but geez....I'd just have to recommend this to everyone.

I've played a lot of point & click adventures throughout my life but I'm daring to say that this one was probably the best.

The puzzles are so unique ohhhhh.

Look I dunno what else to say. The game is fresh on my mind so I just felt like sharing this

I played the demo and the art style is amazing. Very fun, too.
I'm assuming you'd recommend spending the $20 for the full version. How long is it?

I agree wholeheartedly. It's a very good experience. I adore the puzzles, the characters and the design! One of the best looking, and one of the warmest, games of 2009.

Uhh, well yea :)

It's not exactly the longest game.....I'd say it's about 6 hours. Of course it'll take longer if you get stuck..

For real.

I love the characters...like....the whole fact the he has a g/f...and all these other characters struggling along the way that you help out. And the bird that mimics you....i swear i must have taken a year and a half to figure that one out. These robots have lives!! They're ppl!!

Yes, it is. And it's cheap, too.

I recommend to anyone who's interested to click the right picture in my sig to get directly to the online demo of Machinarium. It's a beautiful and unique game.

The game in the middle is another great point&click adventure game with a unique art style from 2009 which I recommend to anyone who liked Machinarium or the p&c genre in general. English version will be released this spring.

Machinarium and The Whispered World are my two favourite p&c adventure games of 2009.

It's available in disc?

I don't wanna buy through Steam

Thanks for the recommend on The Whispered World. Definitely checking the demo

@Bamboleo: It's available for exactly 13.71€ as direct download from the developer's site which is linked in my sig picture.

A very nice retail version of Machinarium (which includes the soundtrack on an extra audio CD, Samorost 2 and a poster) was only released in Germany so far as far as I know:

(I bought the retail version as well to support the developer.)

"European" retail version of Machinarium will be released in March:
