EA Sports Active Coming To PS3, 360

The CV of a systems programmer at EA Sports Canada reveals that the apparent 'Wii exclusive' EA Sports Active will be coming to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Dr Jens Uwe Intat, European VP at EA Games recently told GI.biz that they will try to expand the game to different platforms. But, as spotted by SuperAnnuation, Sean Quinn's CV states that the titles been in the works since September last year, and that they've already developed the DLC plan.

There's no doubt that EA Sports Active will utilize the PlayStation 3 Motion Controller (or the 'Arc' if you wish) and Project Natal. It'll be interesting to see how well it sells.

I am not even sure what EA Sports Active is, but it is coming to all platforms.

Multiplatform... just like 95% of all EA's titles.  Shocking.

I'll be surprised if it sells 20% as much as for the Wii, but wish them luck.

it's EA's version of an exercise game going after the same market as wiifit. my gf bought it for wii and while it was a pretty good workout the game couldn't recognize the inputs well enough so it kept tells us we sucked when we were doing their damn workout.

makes sense to port but not exactly what we (da core) were looking for in 3rd party natal/arc support.

Make sure you have the numchuck the right way.  Try rotating it 180 degrees.

So, there's going to be HDbalance boards too?

What does the game use the balance boards for?

I thought Active was a balance board game!

Guess it's not! :S

there are some exercises using balance board. However, a balance board is not required to play the game.
