Yeah he's terrible.

Also all the people saying Reeves are simply wrong. He plays the stonefaced character extremely well, hence why he didn't wreck The Matrix. He just can't pull off anything else - as somebody else said that doesn't make him terrible, just a bit one dimensional.

 

I don't count Paris Hilton as an actress otherwise she would probably get my vote. I'm going with Megan Fox, she so clearly just got hired because she's smoking hot. Shia + Megan + Bay = Craptastic, I'm surprised they managed to make the first Transformers watchable, the second was more inline with my expectations.

Keanu isn't a bad actor, he's just one with a narrow scope. If Shia has a scope, I don't know what it is yet. Perhaps that's why he gets rolls, he works well for movies that only have a protagonist because you need to have someone to take you from scene to scene. But even at that, he's still hard to watch.

They're all just so smug, it comes through in their acting. No matter the situation it always seems like they're giving the signal that they're better than you because they're in movies. The best actors are humble.

I haven't watched "Public Enemies" yet, but Bale was pretty good in some movies - have you watched "The Prestige" or "The Machinist"?

He doesn't even qualify for the worst-actor category.

My vote goes to ... nobody! I just can't vote because I have seen the true horror, which is German actors. Not all of them - there are some decent ones, but the majority sucks.

Cage can still act. It's just that all the recent projects he chose suck (or don't require real acting) except the recent Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call - New Orleans. He is very good in it.

Jolie can also act. She was good recently in Changeling.

When I go into a Will Ferrell or, ugh, Rob Schnieder movie (ok, he's a bad actor) I generally know what to expect.

Just like that kid from Juno and Zombieland, he knows how to play one character and he plays it well.

Nothing really wrong with that, it may suck for them since they can't branch out, but meh, at least I know what to expect in their movies.

@ bolded-That is hilarious. I know just what you mean, because the star of Spiderman and Jarhead plays one character really well also and then played two roles at the same time in Brothers.

It's funny that so many of you have mentioned Nicholas Cage, because I actually said "He's the new Nicholas Cage".

maybe because the director asked him to do that? I don't know why that counts as Bale's acting skills.

Christian Bale has been more than solid since Empire of the Sun.
