So what's the show about?

And is that name for real? Patch attack? Wow...

It is "The Pach Attack".  His name is Pachter, not Patcher.  It is easy to do this, and many do.

I copied from the OP.

Still, what an unoriginal name.

Wow I think he realises that his job as an analyst is coming to an end so its looking for his next opportunity before he loses his job!

The way the economy is, that is true for about everyone.  You better keep grabbing more of everything, and getting your name out there, or else you will fall behind.  Now Mr. Pachter is setting himself up to be a celebrity, so he can be as wrong as those who are NFL pregame shows who make predictions, and it INCREASES his value to whomever is showing him.

They should have called it Garbage Patch Kid.

Actually "Wacky Pach-ages".

Actualy, they would be fools to fire him. Pachter is like an internet celebrity and all his screentime on Gametrailers is free publicity for Wedbush.

OK I saw the thing. I'm divided, on one hand it's a good thing as it will hopefully make gamers more aware of sales stuff.

On the other hand, it is Pachter so I expect a lot of unsubstantiated or outright wrong stuff. In this show, for example, he said casual game sales are down in 2009 and the trouble in the industry is because the casual gamer got out... he doesn't give hard data so it's hard to do a proper rebuttal, but I suspect he's not counting things such as Wii Sports Resort? It's not like the casual gamers will buy casual-only games every year, as there are many games that appeal to lots of demographics.

Pachter is personable enough. He seems a little stiff and nervous here. Like an old man trying to do a young man's game but he does an admirable job.

The problem with 'Pach' has never been the man himself, just is horrible prediction rate when he's a well-known analyst. No predictions here though. Just rehashing the obvious, and his personal opinion, which I guess it's fine when it's your damn show.

By the way, someone should teach him to look at the correct camera... or just have a single camera if he can't do the switch.

Hehe, Pachter is hilarious. He says that casual gamers ABANDONED gaming? Who the hell does he think is buying NSMBW like gangbusters? (And it's not just the Nintendo hardcore who are buying the game, either).
