Should make a nice profit so we can continue to get more great games.
It's just that simple.

Windows 7 sales have been going very well, and PC sales seems to have picked up. MS should be headed to huge profits.

Than Bing is growing so much they have Now Bing as the main page of HP Laptops and Computers aswell in future on Iphone and Windows Mobile is Growing so fast that nothing can stop it. MS wont stop making money , even in Xbox , they win money in every Consoles Plus MS Points , Xbox Live , Xbox Live Arcades and Software Sales like ODST , Forza 3 or Call of duty MW2 have generated Milions and Milions of Profit. |
You make it sound scary!
Think EDD will make $500M. Only thing in the way is investment into new products such as Windows Mobile 7 and the continued loss of marketshare Windows Mobile is experiencing. As well as continued Zune losses.
Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.
Windows Mobile is growing dude , and yes Zune is a Loss for them in terms of money but is better than iPod for me IMO :D

According to a current Gartner study, Windows Mobile lost 28% market share in 2009.
If that's growing then you are more blinkered than the usual....
Look up stuff before you make stuff up.
A rough guess at EDD would be about $400 profit.
Windows 7 as done very well so profits should be awesome.

While I won't claim that Windows mobile is growing or anything silly like that...I will add that Microsoft relly didnt' have a windows mobile to sell in 2009. The Windows Mobile 7 was delayed and Windows mobile 6 was considered outdated in 2008. So they kind of sat out a year...
Now if Windows Mobile 7 is as awesome as they say it is, they may gain that share back...it depends how cool the devices are which have WM7 on it.
I really have no idea how this 'division' works, please correct me if I'm wrong but I think the last thing I remember reading about it was that all Windows and Office marketing costs are lumped into it as well and then quickly lost all interest. I just wish they would lift the veil on this shrouded mess and actually tell us how much the Xbox is making/losing.

You did not make these claims so that post was not aimed at you.
It's just that I find posters that make up stupid facts just for the sake of it annoying.
I don't care if you support Sony, MS or Nintendo. If you make up crappy facts and pass them off as truth to support or attack another company I will call it.
Back to what you said: yes, you are probably right about the causes of WM decline.
The new release should make up ground.
