I cant see how anyone can say that after watching this. It destroys the first. Fair enough you may not think it's console best, but it is loads better than the original in every way. Animation, textures, lighting, camera angles, effects etc. There is some comparison shots I saw someone of Beta build versus ME1. Difference was huge.

In part 2 you will notice the Xbox 360 dashboard comes up and he is using a 360 memory card to. It's entirely the 360 doing it. Who said 360 couldnt outdo PS3.

 

I never doubt that -  but never thougth Mass Effect 2 was the game that would achieve that!

I'm watching part 3 now, it's mind-blowing! Jeez, I usually don't like wrpgs, but this one is tempting...

All I'll say is the new console graphics king. If you dont want any spoilers or dont want to know anything just go to 6:13 on part 1 and stop about 30 secs later. That is actual gameplay.

I dont want to take any chances, so im just gonna wait and see what it looks like on my TV. ME1 had graphics ahead of its time (it had KZ2 graphics in 2007, i think it was released then).


All I can say is it's alot better visually than the first. NO POP IN either. You are in for a visual treat.

Just tell me there is no lag, the first one was terrible. Every 5 seconds it would do a slightly frame rate drop and it would hurt my eyes.

Lag is a hard one to call from an online streamed video. I didnt notice any issues. I would imagine they fixed that issue if pop in is completely gone from this first 30 mins.

I really really really hope they fixed the lag. I mean they had 2 years of dev time to fix it and this isnt just a copy n paste port from the PC either. I cant wait for it to come out.

While I agree that it isn't the top visuals on console, I have to say that it is a noticeable upgrade. The animations, shadows and textures are quite improved. Does it blow away the first, I wouldn't say that, but the upgrade is definitely noticeable. It's just not on the same level as other game's visuals that are at the top, IMO.


Hey dude. Considering you like CGI quality. 6:13 in Part One is so good. Closest actual gameplay to CGI I ever saw. Incredible.

I saw all three, and agree that it's quite an upgrade from the first and looks great. It's just I wouldn't call that the best I've seen on consoles, not at 6:13 in the first vid either. I'm not trying to turn this into a grudge match though.


It's all cool. I think that certain games yet to come have a chance this year at beating it. Like Heavy Rain or Alan Wake. But I think it's fairly easy for it to take the crown on Jan 26th over anything before it. It's just almost to cinematically real. The character models are out of this world. Something I didnt exppect to be saying about an UE3 game in Jan 2010.

Wow the character models look good,and I like the animations,very fluid and not forced looking.Too bad Iam not getting this game,maybe its worth a rental?
