Forums - Gaming - Gamerankings ratings: PS3 cod4 best of them all!!

So now this is pathetic? A ps3 game cant be better than a 360 game? I see. Then the ps3 must always suck. Yes it must I might was well throw away my ps3 and stick with my wii and 360..because the ps3 is supposed to have worst games..

 2008 end of year predictions:

360: 25M

Dont e silly. Dont throw away your PS3. There will be same great games on it. This thread though is clearly a fanboy post. With only half the reviews of one system .1% is in favour of the 360. Add to that the PS3 problems which I pointed out with links and video, and well you wrk the rest out. Dont get sucked in by the PR talk of any company. The PS3 has proven difficulties. Thats just the way it is.

Yes soriku imagine cod 4 ends up at 95% and SMG ends up 95.1% its GOTY. .1% makes a huge difference. This means that the ps3 version is somewhat better than the 360 version FINALLY!!!

I'll take that .1% if it means I don't have to use the FPS-craptastic controller called the SixAxis. Using the 360 controller is bad enough compared to KBM.

I can't decide if zackblue is a Sony schill or just a trueblood fanboy.

That's probably because reviewers of PC games are a lot more critical of the game they are reviewing.

Besides, when I have the choice of analog stick or mouse/keyboard for an fps, mouse/keyboard wins every. single. time.

I prefer FPS's on consoles since PC versions always demand the best PC's( high ram, good video card, big hard drive)... I don't have that much money

Plus playing Halo on the computer was horrible it's not the real game, if you would offer me COD4 either on PS3/360 or PC I'd take the PS3/360 version over the PC version any day.

Actually, Halo on the PC was just a rather poor port by Gearbox. In fact, unless it's just my video card (7800gt), some of the effects from the Xbox version didn't even make it to the PC version of Halo (such as the effect when somebody is cloaked as well as the shiny effect on the portals and weapons such as the assault rifle). It's sad that the online isn't that great as you have to lead all your shots to make up for the built in lag. That, and it's really hard to find a regular CTF game (at least for Blood Gulch) because apparently people are so in love with no shields and heavy weapon servers. . .

I'm not sure how the Vista version of Halo 2 is (apart from the abomination that is Windows Live), but it's scored more fairly and not with shock and awe in its reviews that the hype of Halo 2 built up (rightly so as I get rather bored when I play Halo 2, but that's me and besides the point).

Not really a FPS but go play the craptastic port of RE4 on PC It'll take you all of a minute to plug in a 360 controller to make gameplay bearable.

For Me its a toss up. It all depends on how well the control scheme is implemented. I actually liked Bioshock better on the controler with auto aim turned off than I did with the mouse on PC. Only Played the Demo on PC though. If the control scheme is done well on a controler I find it more engaging. Unfortunatly that doesnt happen very often.

The thing is that games are also reviewed by system expectations.

The PC has no want of FPS, actually a saturation of them, so this game is not as spectacular.

The 360 also has no want, but not a saturation, so the game is still pretty good.

The PS3 does have a want, so this game scores the best there.

The DS also has a want, but the DS version, at least according to the ONE REVIEW the gameranking is based on, was pretty close, just a few bugs that got in the way. Yet the controls are not infinitely worse, according to the review, so montanahatchet is just lying there.*

*Not to mention calling out origin for language, after insulting someone himself just before that.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
