So now I hear (from IGN) that this is only 10 hours.
How is that possible?

1. The overworld might have actually padded the time in the last game and this game has the same pace otherwise.
2. They rushed through it just because it's a Wii game.
3. They are lying.
Those are three possibilities that occured to me, although I'm not claiming those are all of them. And I'll wait until reader impressions anyway.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

The overworld thing may hold credence. SPOILERSSS In the last mission of NMH, you have to walk to the final fight.
But still, I rushed as much as I could through the game to beat it within a Blockbuster rental, and it took 11 hours. Even with the boss fights, you have to raise money (which is still in this right?) and train.
This game has the training, jobs, more clothes, and twice the amount of boss fights, but is still the same length as NMH1? I doubt it....

The way it seems to me is that the game will take ten hours doing the bare minimum. Only getting the beam katana upgrades and going into the next mission, Nothing to do with having max Health/ all the clothing options/ Getting Jeane slim/ Beating Bizarre Jerry 5 ie. experienceing all the sights. I mean in the Gamespot editorial it took him 1 hour alone before he even left the house.
yes, i think it'll get a higher metacritic rating than NMH1, not ny much though, i can't picture reviewers giving this game good enough scores for it to get into the 90s simply because i suspect it won't be HD enough for them, as well as 'other reasons'.
still, it should be a unique and amazing expreince, with style and weirdness to boot. can't wait till it's out!
Maybe. I'm shooting for the middle 80's...
85, 86 shall be a good score for this game.
It can't get over 90's because videogame journalists only give those scores to games with good HD graphics.

Yawn.
Anywho, they'll need to fix a lot of the problems from the first game (linearity, repetitive side missions and combat, the overworld) and bring a lot of innovations. If they do, the game should get some great scores.

Fake yawning is an automatic argument loss in my book. Even stating you don't want to argue about it gives some sort of effort.

dont you doubt it. better visuals, longer, better gameplay, less fooling around, better minigames, more playable characters, is the usual winning formula for sequels..see MW2 for reference.
