Forums - Sony - Gran Turismo 5 Data Logger Visualization - GT5 vs Real Life

the camera makes the most difference that

in real life the camera is kind of blury and the sunlight seems to fade things

in GT5 the camera is clean and sunlight is controlled,it doesn't fade the surrounding and lets us see how beautiful the course is

Which therefor makes it look less realistic.

LOl totally agree ps3 really can do everything maybe God should check out the cell processor!

That's why all these racing games make it look like the cars float across the track!  No one has mastered the physics of a true road not being 100% flat surface.  Notice how obvious the shudder of the car is on the REAL footage as opposed to the butter smooth footage of GT5?

this is yamauchi you are talking about, hes a racer as well.

also its not like race tracks have bumps and all, they're as flat as surfaces should be or else it would be illegal to open them as race tracks.

200 premium cars are impressive, but dont forget there is 800 standard cars, and they dont look so good and dont have inside view.

Thank you, didnt see that before.

the graphics looks awsome but the cars vibrations are not there but thats not really going to change the way it drives so it does not really matter that much but you will get vibration when the car are vribrates of the tracks of ripple strips.

the "Real" one is vibrating because the camera is vibrating not because the car is , you see if you film a video in a really steady car the film still vibrates its physics, on the game since the "camera" doesn't really physically exist it doesn't vibrate

That wasn't just the camera vibrating, though. If the car doesn't vibrate there's nothing to influence the camera to vibrate, right? If the GT camera is a 'ghost' form, there still would've been vibration sounds from the car; albeit a bit quieter (still audible).

Not that it makes a bit of difference. I'll be impressed when GT5/any game can get the in-game and real life appearances comparable. Right now GT5 and any other game look way too clean; thus  if not viewed from a distance, the differences can be plain obvious.
