PS3 is on a roll compared to 360 in Japan. It's winning. A few weeks ago, it even outsold 360 30:1, defending those numbers is laughable.
Even if PS3 was outselling 360 100:1, you'd still pretend it's losing. It's ok for me. ;)
Lol @ jarrod not defending the 360. Every post he makes looks like a MS ad. |
I don't want to get into this argument, especially as I haven't read much of this thread since I last posted... but using ratios alone is not a good measure of success.
I agree with you the the X360 is a failure in Japan, much more than the PS3 is a failure in America.... but relative to expectations it is entirely the opposite... The X360 looks like it will manage 3-4 times what the xbox did in Japan (again ratios aren't a fair way of looking at it on their own, but still useful) while the PS3 should manage between 1/4 and 1/3rd of what the PS2 did in Japan)
Anyhow, back to my point, the ratio thing alone can't be compared fairly between two different regions like that.... it is fairly easy to outsell something by 30:1 when such small numbers are involved... trying to outsell by 30:1 in America would be an incredible feat for 2 current consoles. The market is just very different. there is also the fact that the PS3 can easily outsell X360 by 30:1 in Japan, but the X360 can perform evenly in numbers by only outselling PS3 2:1 in America (that was just an example)
