WTF?  Listen carefully, I said 360's JP sales were so bad that nothing else could even be compared.  The thing didn't bomb, it's cratered.  No spin, just reality... PS3 in America is lightyears better (hell, it's on par with 360 here now basically).   PS3 in Japan is still "bad" saleswise though, even Wii in Japan isn't even doing all that well and it sold nearly twice as much this week.   Frankly I'd say Japan is pretty easily the weakest market for all 3 machines, it's solidly handheld country these days and the consoles are all doing pretty unimpressively by comparison.

Ok,I agree they're more on handhelds these days... Still, Sony is easily winning the "non handheld console core gamers" left there in my opinion... I never really acknowledged the Wii as a competitor of the HD consoles. The Wii crowd and the core gamers crowd don't mix that well in my opinion.

There are 2 HD consoles, one is beating the other 10 : 1 while being more expansive.

Hence PS3 wins easily, and 360 has pathetic numbers. There are only two competitors, the loser is the 360 here, it's not even debatable, so PS3 won by a landslide.

Now you can spin all day, you won't change facts, which is 360 is nearly dead in Japan.

The fact it's your console of choice or you don't "accept those numbers" won't change anything. Let's get real.

The 360 numbers can't be defended. Sony clearly crushed 360 in Japan, choose another virtual fight you have a better chance to win.

I'd say "spin" is declaring PS3 as somehow "winning" anything in Japan.  It really isn't.  360 losing harder doesn't mean PS3's "winning".  They both lose, just to different degrees.  Ditto for Wii.

Also, lol at the "console of choice" mudslinging.  Between the two of us, I don't think I'm really the one who comes as having some vested interest in seeing particular "console of choice" succeed.  Probably because my "console of choice" is already raping everyone else combined. :P

And it's not like "core" games have all done terribly on Wii.  The top tier stuff (MoHun, Zelda, Biohazard Chronicles, Mario Story, etc) has all done generally on par with what you'd expect of each series, and comparable to the top tier PS3 core games (MGS, Musou, RGG, Biohazard, etc).  We've also seen niche core releases bomb on both, even when well promoted (3DGH, LKS, etc).

Losing 10:1 is losing hard jarrod, no spinning can save that...

And winning 10:1 is winning. PS3 wins in Japan, 360 loses... hard.

If you didn't have any "interest" in 360 you wouldn't try to defend those pathetic numbers.

And look at recent worldwide hardware numbers (or game of the year awards since 2008 by the way), the console trouncing the other seems to be the PS3 now. ;)

I completely disagree to the point I find it hilarious.

Being outsold 10:1 by its competitor is pathetic, and outselling its competitor 10:1 is good. At least it can hardly be considered as "losing" since the whole console business model is about gaining market shares (which in turn allow for profit in the latest years of the console lifetime).

Jarrod said his console of choice wasn't the Xbox360. I'm guessing by what he said it's either the Wii or the DS. For you to completely ignore one of the PS3's competitors suggests to me that you are using spin, almost to the point of PR levels.
