And I'd love to see confirmation from this ridiculous rumor. Warner said it was untrue. Sony said it was untrue. Harry Potter sold twice as much on BR then on HDDVD. Blu-ray players were selling at a faster rate. BR had more exclusive studios. Warner would have just made it even making the war last even longer. It was the best desicion to make a choice. Draging the war on was bad for all parties.... why wouldnt warner chose the option that was selling better and making more money?

Are they the bellweather of the gaming industry?

Right if they are not at the forefront then why are they pushing for 3D-TV, yes it is a controversional move, and could fail, but it may pay off, we simply don't know yet, and it is unfair to negatively bash on this new development, I personally would love to see 3D suceed, it's about time we all got 3D-TV's.

And once again, we're not talking overall. We're talking about what has changed within a specific time period. And you can't deny that the PS3 is picking up strong. As stated, there's more to the world than just the US.

PS3 sales are improving, but we don't know whether this will be enough to offset the decline in PSP and PS2 (very unlikely) or even when the PS3 will be profitable.
