If this guts character is just an ordinary mortal then it sounds to me like he'd be the same level as kratos before Aries intervened... After Kratos obtained the Blades of Chaos, the head of Medusa, Zues' lightening bolts, Pandoras Box.... and whatever else he gets along the way I think it'd be a non-contest.
