To developers,

Being 'mature' does not mean blood and gore, sex, cussing. It means to explore heavy themes in an adult manner.

Here are some examples of what I mean:
Beyond Good and Evil
Silent Hill series
BioShock
Half Life series
Final Fantasy(I know including this here will cause a shit storm)
