In an interview with Kent Hudson from 2k Marin, it was revealed that BioShock 2 DLC is in the works.

“Absolutely! We are working on pretty aggressive plans for DLC and that’s actually something that is already under-way. That is something that is mostly being run out of the Marin studio because like I said the Australian studio is already ramping up on the next big thing.” (via AustralianGamer.com)

Honestly, I don’t think this is any big surprise to anyone, but it’s nice to see there’s some coming.  I’ll bring in more information about it as it comes.

What a bunch of assholes people in the gaming industry have become...

Imagine if Konami witheld the spreader in Contra 3 or if Sega sold you the spin dash attack in Sonic 2 extra.

Is it too much to ask for to finish the game, let the comunity play it and then decide what is needed as DLC.

That's not such a good news if you ask me. It's ok when the game is already out but in this case it's just wrong.

You'd think this could be good news, but not really :/ If it's free, then by all means YAY!, otherwise this is lame.

Announcing DLC before a game is out just shows that they didn't put 100% effort in to the game in the first place.

Make the damn games the best they can be from day 1 (and IF the game is success then make your bloody DLC)

DLC should not be made until after the games release. 1.) have an open comment box take suggestions and see if someone has ideas 2.)if you have some guy helping making it come up with an awesome idea then go with it.

But don't sell me something that should be in the game already especially when it's already made.

Not that I'm interested in this game, but I think announcing DLC before the game is even out is atrocious. The game should be released in completed form and any DLC released should be things that only occured to the developers afterwards.

I understand DLC shouldn't be considered until dev's hear what people want. But on the other hand, is kind of understandable since the game was finished months ago.

If you all remember, Bioshock 2 was delayed (from Nov.) most likely to avoid MW2. So it's not like it could have been put in the disc if they are just beginning to do the extra stuff. But yeah, who knows if they had all that extra stuff done even before november.
