I personally would get a PS3 at this point. The 360 breaks, red-rings, etc. Unless there are exclusives on the 360 that you definitely don't want to miss, I'd go PS3. It's looking to have another great year with 2010.

That being said, I don't think the price of the 360 will drop within the month. So you'd be fine going out and getting the 120g right now.

Why would you even bring that up? He said nothing about buying a new system all he asked was a hdd question and if he should wait to buy a new 360. Why would you even talk about rrod? Thats a ridiculously flaimbait post.

He asked for an opinion.  I gave it.  I didn't just mention the PS3, I also added that if he did still decide to get another 360, he would be fine getting the 120g.  Chill out, please.

Everyone in this thread agrees with me including the OP. Just apologize for the post and leave the thread if you have nothing useful to add.

OT: Seeing as how you have another system I would wait a month and see what happens. That way you could maybe get a good deal and you won't go through withdrawal from lack of games.

Speculation is that retailers are clearing the 120g stock to make way for 250g as the new upper standard.  Agreed?  And when would you think the new 250g drives would be shipping?

My launch 20g needs hard drive space and the disc drive needs repairing and I want a new controller and my cat ate the headset last night.  Cheaper for me to use that one for movies in the bedroom and get a new one for playing (perhaps with a pack-in game).  I'm wondering if I shoudl wait a month and see what's up or whether to just go get a 120g.

Opinions?

Yes, eventually the price will drop or change or you will get some deal..

Yes, wait and see would be the best choice as this time.

Good idea...

I wonder if that means 120g drives will be even cheaper?

Probably...just like that they did with the 80g

If they are clearancing them then they will get cheaper like the older 60gb hdd's, but as his system is getting screwy now it would probably be best to wait and get a new system instead. (120gb Elite, or if they release a 250gb Elite that one) He wants a new controller as well.

Thanks all. I'll likely wait a little and see if either I get a great deal on a 120 or if the 250's are announced. I'd get a 120 with the two games and $50 gift card, except I already played Lego Batman and I already own Pure.

Can't we all just get along and play our games in peace?

id just buy they 120GB hard drive u dont need 250GB most games on xbox are between 5.5-7GB(assassins creed 2 is under that) SO 120 will give u loads of space

unless you have alot of games you plan to install to your hard drive (like me) then just go ahead and get the 120 gb. Otherwise wait for the 250. 120 is alot of memory if you really think about it. Most xbox games take less than 6 gb each so you can fit an easy 15 or 20 games on it.

DLC and arcade games fill it quite fast...especially the last year with the bigger and bigger dlc arcade games..
