Personally, I don't think they will like Mass Effect 1 at all compared to Mass Effect 2.

And here's why: Gameplay.

Mass Effect 2 just seems so much more made for gameplay this time around, whereas before in Mass Effect 1, the gameplay was a little stiff and the rpg elements shined. This time it seems like Bioware brought the gameplay up to the RPG element's polish.

Bear with me here, because every ME1 video I've found is in low quality..

Besides just the gameplay you can also see years of graphical overhaul as well (maybe not so much with the video quality, but I've been playing the game again for a while now and can atest to it)

Mass effect 1 is a good game, but Mass Effect 2 looks to surpass it in every conceivable way possible.



And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... I don't think it will be gamebreakingly bad for anyone, they'll just think "Ah, I see why they fixed this!". They'll probably think that a lot.

Wonderful! i didn't like the original, mainly because it was ugly both graphiclly and art-style-ishly but ME2 looks great. not day 1, but i may get this one.

I'm saying that they brought the gameplay elements up the level the RPG elements were on. That's the way it definetly looks as of right now.

Of course you could make it kind of an action game by auto leveling and going on a lower difficulty I guess.

Heh well, to each dude, i didn't like the fact it looked somewhere in between realistic and sci-fi, normally that kinda hybrid style is a good thing, but it didn't shine for ME1 for me. :/

I think they will probably be struck by the gameplay differences yes.

But more than that, I think they'd probably have a tonne of "OHHHH that makes sense" moments with regard to the story.

I know ME2 has a quick catchup for those that didn't play 1, but still.

Really? I loved ME1's art style, but then again maybe I'm too much of a sci-fi geek.  All I know is I can't wait for this game, at least it isn't being delayed like Splinter Cell.



Reasonable on 15 January 2010

The flaws that ME2 hopefully fixes will seem glaring, and they'll marvel at how much a game can improve.



Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
