Oh, and sure, Sonic's Recent 3D games have not been up to standard (namely Sonic Heroes for me)

But his 2D games continue to be fantastic.

Some folks here really should play Sonic advance 1,2 & 3 on GBA.......... and Sonic Rush on DS of course.

Sonic's Megadrive 2D games are amongst the most godly platformers ever made ;)

Especially Sonic&Knuckles XD *feels an urge to start up the Megadrive emulator*

I never owned a Sega system so I haven't owned many Sega made games but from what I've played they seem alright! Nothing special to me but I don't hate them! I do have the Sega Ultimate Genesis collection but haven't gotten around to playing much of it yet.

I owned all 4 origional Sonics on Megadrive/Genesis............ then on Dreamcast, and now i have all 4 on XBLA too.

Sonic & Knuckles is my fave platformer of all time (And with Sonic and Knuckles been backwards compatible with Sonic 3 via the Add on cartridge Sonic 3 & Knuckles is my fave platformer by a HUGE margin)

As for the 3 GBA Sonics, honestly people, if you aint played them go get a GBA or DS right NOW...........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like many people said already: The Sega name is synonymous with Sonic. When Sonic games started sucking more and more, people blame Sega (rightfully so, they made the game). A lot of people don't know that Sega has more to offer than they mediocre Sonic efforts.

Then again, some people may be bitter that Sega has not been able to deliver a good Sonic game and they really want a new, good sonic game.

When Sega does develop a game, i hate it or just stand neutral (they couldn't even do a decent ps3 port for god know what reason). But as a publisher i love it. It helped my beloved Platinum Games + Tri Ace. So right now, doing a balance i'd say SEGA is ok. =)
