How does a price cut on the 360 help Sony?  I assume you meant the 360 since it hasn't had a cut in a while and the PS3 following a drastic cut is taking ~$30-50 loss which would only maybe be breaking even by September. Not to mention, Natal will be entering at that time as well.  Summer would have been a much smarter move than fall for GT5.

Is it finally set to come out this year? I hope so. If it is, that is good news. Wait until fall for it, and just relax in the mean time.

Obviously they want to do even more work on the game. A game as big as GT5 can release at almost any time in the year and still pull in incredible sales. September sounds pretty good for it as it can still pick up on a Christmas boost.

I'm interested to see the sales and the hype from both companies in the run up.

But like someone said this is for Japan only so it may not be out this year WW unless they've decided to hold back the JP release for a simultaneous WW release.
