Halo has its own unique style. Killzone's style is completely different to Halo.
Halo tried going darker with Halo 3: ODST - that game did not do as well as the Halo trilogy in regards to both sales and review scores. Halo needs Master Chief.

I would still play it, but it would certainly lose charm. One thing I like about Halo is its unique art direction. The darker, grittier warzone should stay with Killzone and Gears of War.
Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!
Kojima: Come out with Project S already!
SHMUPGurus said: Oh wait, it's a different Halo, sure, but I know it won't be another KZ2 alright. They said recently, if I recall correctly, that on the screen they can have 40 A.I.s all around and more than 20 vehicles at the same. That's quite something! Like any typical Halo, I believe the vehicles will be an important part of Reach. With that said, it's probably only the graphics that will change, oh and maybe the customization on your character and stuff. Halo 3: ODST was darker than previous Halo games, but it wasn't as successful as the other Halo games because it didn't have a multiplayer component of its own. Plus, the campaign mode was a hit or miss. The hub is really really boring, sadly, and the missions are not long enough. It was a nice little game though, but I believe it was hard to justify buying an "expansion" for 60$ with the same Halo 3 multiplayer experience. |
I`ll take Firefight mode over normal multiplayer any day. I don`t think it was the lack of multiplayer but more so the lack of being able to play Firefight online with anybody.
As for the campaign, it was a nice change of pace from your typical halo.
How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...
Xbox 360 wants to Kinect & PS3 wants to Move! Why are both systems having such relationship problems? The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.
No, Halo is supposed how have crazy, colorfull, enviorments and silly enemies. If it were serious and gray it would ruin the whole fun of Halo.

No, Halo controls much better than KZ2 imo, KZ2 is way too fiddly and slow. I don't mind the sense of weight but but hate rest of the controls such as the turning circle of the character, grenade throw delay, crouching against wall then pop over and click on R3 to zoom and shoot too clumsy for a near super human Spartan.
I also hope Bungie stick to a rock solid 30fps (or higher!) throughout as previous and not sacrifice that for visual fidelity like Guerilla did for Killzone 2.
why wud halo change itself in the direction of game that could not an never will be able 2 compete with it ...... i say this an im not that big a fan of halo
It would worry me if they did make it play more like KZ2 so I would have to rent it first but I would definitely play KZ3 if it was more like Halo.
