I'm getting what ever versions runs and looks the best so I'll be waiting for reviews and comparisons before my purchase.

If this will be the case, SE has REALLY shot themselves in the foot. Not only have they damaged their reputation, but they have also made a serious crack in their original fanbase. So, SE better pray that they will get those 360 sales, if not, I think their games will have falling sales on ANY platform in the future.

I know for sure that I won't buy the game (XIII ofc) after all that has been said and revealed and I know at least 10 people who feel likewise. SE has done nothing but damaging their reputation over the last 2-3 years...

Why do people still act like this will be the first FF game on an xbox console?

Cause most people tend to only think of FFXI in terms of the ps2 and pc.  The 360 version did sell decently, definitely compared to how far into the games life it was released.

I personally prefer playing FFXI on my 360, for safety and security purposes.  I also believe the extra draw distance does make it look better than the other 2 platforms.  Most people prefer it on the PC because of a certain add-on they can use with it.  And then there are the people who still prefer it on the ps2.  Granted, the ps2 has the worse graphics of the three, but it has the best performance, hands down.

I see this game selling 1-2 million on the 360.  The 360 isn't known to be an RPG powerhouse, that the PS3 is.  On the flip side, the PS3 JRPGS haven't sold any better than the 360 JRPGS.  Only one 360/PS3 rpg has broke 1 million that I know of, and that is FFXIII.  Other than that release, the 360 has the better sales figures with games like Lost Odyssey and Last Remnant.  Demon Souls did do alright as well, and White Knight Chronicles might too.

Taking in account the used game market, I would guess 1-2 million on the 360, and 2-3 million on the ps3.  That's for American sales.

Valkyria Chronicles has sold as much if not more than Losy Odyssey which is the 360s highest selling JRPG.
WKC in Japan alone seems to have outsold Tales of Vesperia and The Last Remnant on the 360. Demons Souls is on its way to outsell Blue Dragon. Final Fantasy XIII will reach 2M in Japan alone before Year's end. As of right now the PS3 is the JRPG system for Console games. TOV: Complete outsold its 360 counterpart's worldwide sales. And I wouldn't be surprised if Star Ocean: International outsells Star Ocean: The Last Hope

I'm not hyped for FF13 but I'll be sure to gamefly it. Not much risk in just trying it.

Square-Enix is expecting 2 million on the 360 alone? Seems kinda high since most people in EU will buy it for PS3, and I think in the US it will be really close.

It is nice to see a positive thread hyping an amazing game for HD console owners. I was starting to get a bit down on all the negativity revolving around the 360 version I have had to weed through lately.

I think it dual releasing for the both consoles is a great thing for gamers (I might be in the minority unfortunately).
