Forums - Sony - correct hard disc not found problem

I have a launch 60 gig that I recently upgraded to a 250gig HD.  About a week after the upgrade, I started to get " correct hard disc not found" error when I would turn on the PS3.  I searched the problem and the only solution I found was to hold down the power buttom for an alternate menu and select "restore file system".  This seemed to work at the time.  It is now about 2 weeks later and I'm getting the same error again.

Has any one else had this issue?  If so, what did you do to solve it, if anything.

Is there a way to connect my PS3 to a computer in order to back up the contents of the hard drive, or does this have to be an external HD or USB drive of some sort?  I really don't want to have to reformat the HD becuase I have over 150 DLC items that I don't want to redownload (for the 3rd time)

Has Sony made any comments regarding the "correct HD not found"

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've changed ps3 HDDs 3 times now and never had this problem. Sorry man, cant help you with this one. I'd advise you to post your problem on the official PS forums instead as you're more likely to find help there than over here. Hope you fix your problem.
