Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Near five years develpment cycle for Zelda Wii?

If it will really set a new bar for this genre and it is something "never seen before" as Aonuma said, and I believe this man, then this development cycle is worth it.

It's not the same as developing Zelda in the same successfull formula. I all about total makeover for it. No matter what, even if I hate it I'll play it because it's Zelda.

I'd buy a Zelda brick if there was one available.

Hey, I can get you one of those, it'll be 1000 Euros.

remember Wii motion plus wasn't born till after the Wii's lainch, by that I mean that it wasn't being implimented in the development of games till more recently

so this means that they had to have restarted development on the game between the initial beginning of development and the time they decided to impliment Wii Motion Plus.

I'm not saying they totally trashed everything they had worked on uptill that moment, but that they had to have done something along those lines.

so i think that's why it's been in "development" for so long.

I'd go with this. WM+ delayed a couple things.
