Oh come on guys. How has no one mentioned Imogen Heap? Easily one of the most talented modern singers, she can do ridiculous things with her voice.

I love Aretha and she's an amazing singer, just not one of my favorites. That applies to a lot of singers listed here, actually.

i also loved blu cantrell too and ayiesha/alysha the one who died,there is gazillions of ladies out there and one must mention MJ blige and mariah carey,yes please,you may not like their music but they can both sing alriight
