With the kind of graphical update we're looking at with Reach, I think its kinda unfair to expect more players/bigger maps in MP. You can't have it all.

Maybe Halo 720 will support 24 - 32, but asking a 360 game to do better gfx than H3 (which was pretty good) *and* bigger maps/more players is a bit too much. Bungie knows Halo. Let em do it right, and don't whine about the MP player count.

agreed, we cant have it all. I honestly would prefere an amazing single player story than bungie focussing more on mp.

I am soooooooo glad that they are putting more effort in the single player. I really have enjoyed all the Halo's, but the single player in 2 and 3 seem to have become secondary to the multiplayer.

hmmm sounds pretty awesome but only 16 players online....fail.

Why does 16 players automatically make it fail? Have you ever played Halo? I could see more than 16 players in a huge map but if there were too many players it would become a grenade fest.  More players doesn't = better multiplayer. Better multiplayer = better multiplayer. Halo's multiplayer is a work of art. Reach will be a masterpiece.

Halo Reach is going to do big things...real big.

I agree with you. I hope we will see more focus on single player this time.

of course i have played the halo games, completed every one of them!all im saying is,they boast about having big maps in sp with massive battles 40+ on screen at once, then they go and say that it will only have 16 player mp....it doesnt match up. This game will be a success and lets hope they can top the amazing first game.

After reading the GameInformer article and took a loog at the scans I only can say:

Ultra monster muahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

I think it's obvious that 16 players is due to more economical limitations since the engine itself handles more, this is going to be the biggest online game this generation, it's going to hard enough to make sure everyones getting a good connection as it is.

Why does everyone want more players? I don't want to try to communicate objectives and commands in Team Deathmatch to 15 other people on my team. Its hard enough to get 7 other people to respond and play together. 8v8 is just fine with me.
I also think that trying to dodge sniper fire from 10 guns at the same time doesn't sound too fun. You always have half the other team sniping. 4 snipers is enough.
