Forums - Gaming Discussion - Why can't we have a sandbox game where you're a cop?

Dunno.. there's lots of movies featuring cops. I just watched Training Day.. thought it'd be a great idea for a game with a karma system, where you can either be a clean or dirty cop. I always wanted to be a cop..

True Crime? I haven't played it but arent you a cop there?

Black Women Are The Most Beautiful Women On The Planet.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

lol

There the GTA clone on DS called COP: The Recruit.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

Crackdown is your game. You play the role as the agent- a super powered cop. Crackdown 2 is coming out on the 360 in 2010.

i don't want to have superpowers. i just want to be a normal run of the mill cop who has to deal with issues the same way niko bellic does.

True Crime!

True Crime Streets of LA

True Crime Streets of (glitchy madness) New York

True Crime Streets of the new one they announced.

I would rather be a Private Eye that goes on a number of cases during the run of the game.

Because being a cop sucks! Being a criminal is where it's at!!

But, like everyone said, True Crime. And possibly Crackdown (I haven't played it). Oh, and "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" on the Nes.
