  Only good thing about "diversity" is that shovelware brings money to developers. If the money goes for more games like this which I think will happen... it is not a good thing.

Well, if these kind of games make money to develop something I care about then by all means, buy this game!

You will be less likely to be sad if you accept that there are very likely going to be an increasing number of game genres you don't care about, that stand a chance ot selling well.  And if you don't lament this reality, then you will be doing better off.

So yes, if games like this are what people want, they should sell well.  That is how things work.

Doing things people enjoy > high production value and production costs (by a WIDE margin).
