People interested in a game like Rogue or Nethack or Angsband on the XBox 360, check out Dungeon Adventure:

Game includes both ASCII characters and also sprite mapping.  I did pick it up, and found it worth it as a $3 adaptation of the PC game.

At one point (years ago), I contacted the guy(s) behind NetHack and talked to them about using it as the basis of a more complete game... could be fun!

I am curious who was behind the 360 game.  Anyhow, have you checked Dwarf Fortress yet?  Put it in the area of NetHack, but make it a colony sim instead.
