Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Patcher stomps his feet and has a hissy fit

“They are not buying much more software. They bought what they wanted and don’t feel the need to buy more,” he says. “Nor are they aware of what other Wii games are out there. They’re oblivious,” the analyst said.

If it so "obvious" how they are why are all the companies having trouble selling to them? And I'm also tired of people calling the casuals (man, do I hate this word) retarded. They are ware of the games, but it seems no one admits that MAYBE, they don't want to buy their "pieces of art".

Yeah, I don't care if, say, Madworld looks so awesome in that style. The game overall just doesn't interest me.

And many hit games sell for reasons other than the reasons critics like them. Gears sells because it's an awesome shooter, not because of highly-detailed graphics or a gritty war story.

lately ive been liking pachter more and more. he does some stupid stuff but to me this seems spot on. while people go round saying third parties cant sell on wii, he tells them what the system needs is less shovelware and more quality titles. I certianly agree with him.

On a side note im now also a believer in wii HD. not a wii that just puts out HD but a new SKU to apeal to mainstream gamers

~He stills employed. This man's amazing.

Why do we devote attention to this guy? All he does is whine.
He probably couldn't run a game company. Why he thinks he can tell Nintendo how to do things is beyond me.

"he tells them what the system needs is less shovelware and more quality titles"

WE'VE been saying the for ALMOST THE WII'S LIFESPAN.

Sorry for the allcaps, but Pachter is just stating what we've already known for a while. The fact that he and the third parties JUST NOW caught on shows how far behind the curve they are.

What's with Pachter? Is he on some sort of mental personal crusade against Nintendo or something? He seems intent on seeing them fail.

Pachter can't believe half the shit he spews. That only leaves one real answer: he's being compensated for his defamation. The Wii is always "doomed", he always bring up the "Wii HD" whenever there's a critical point in the year, and there is almost always a negative spin when good Wii news happen. While most people in the Industry is like this, Pachter is dedicated and takes it to the next level.

^^^LOL

I thought the Wii was appealing to the mainsteam gamer. Isn't that the reason for its sales! Please, correct me if I am wrong in understanding your post.

If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba

I want to see someone mail a letter to patcher telling him that his adolescent opinion does not give him the right to a vg job and he should stop talking

Honestly, do JRPG makers even realize how hard it is to save the world? That shit is impossible!
