It has been known for quite a while now that Natal cannot see fingers. Man, if people are going to post stuff, at least make it new or interesting.

Well if it's 4 centimeters like they say, it could see some fingers, like the middle finger.. Lol. In any case, it would also be able to see if you have a fist or an open hand. I don't see why finger recognition would be so important anyway.

Who the hell would want to play without a steering wheel and a gas pedal anyway? Or without a gun/trigger for that matter? Seriously. Maybe its a good thing it can't detect such necessary movements for those games (if its even true), because if it could it would be useless. Some tactile feedback is a freakin must, even if it is mostly just a prop.

Middle finger is all you need for most shooter hand gestures.

But there's a 3D tech demo of that ball game and the carachter on screen moves the fingers...

I though this was already some established alpha-work with fingers, and now it was removed!

Can you post a link to the video, I am unfamiliar with this?  It might be a case of the hands are actually what is driving the game and the person is just moving there fingers without knowing they are doing nothing.

Oh that would be interesting.

How about we just wait until E3 and know for definate what the tech can and cannot do instead of stealth trolling a unreleased product every single day on here.

They are now doing a lot of it with software emulation, which means that as the technology improves, firmware updates can improve it's implementation, in the same way updates increase the availability of memory to developers.
