i was going to lol at seece thinking that was crazy waay too low but then i checked the number and sure enough 360/ps3 were both about 50k last year.  oh holiday sales, how quickly they spoil me.

You want Sony to loose ever more money? I really doubt that anyone apart from Microsoft will even think about a price cut soon. 

ps. Whats the cost of manufacturing a PS3 Slim? (I have no idea, i just want to know whether sony is still loosing cash)

IIRC there was a recent study that said that Sony is losing about $26 per console. Although exchange rates and taxes obviously change that from region to region and production costs have probably went down a little since that study. I'm pretty sure they make money on the 250 gigs.

Alright, alright, I admit I was semi-drunk when I posted. 100k gap in others alone is close to impossible. a 50k gap, is more likely. But not during the months of January and February.
