This happened to my friend's 80gig and since it was past the warranty I opened it up and unhooked the BD drive for a while and put it back together. It was working fine after that, but I'm not sure how long it lasts because he pawned it a week later and got a slim. I fixed my own 60gig when it got the YLOD 3 times before I got the Slim.....dark days.....

if u got a good replacement probably longer, my crapped 9 month sony fixed it, and its 2 years old ps3 now.

btw, the EXACT same thing happened to me.. it stopped working but it read CD's.. then it worked completely.. and the next time it didnt work AT ALL

that can be a software error, notthign to worry about especially when it happens with the same game, and nothing else, be scared when it refuses to turn on but its always good to have a back up

 

and seriously, saves files should be nice to sync on the cloud with the PSN so u can get back ups
