I go to my local gamestop to pick up Bayonetta for 360, and the clerk starts to complain about how much he hates microsoft, because they buy their way in, PS3 has better games, and he's old school, and microsoft rushed a faulty product to get the first step on sony.

and i'm cool with that, fanboys can have their say. But seriously !!!

it's almost as if they forget that the video game industry is all about making money. who cares if microsoft bought their way in, i'm pretty sure if sony had the extra change they would do exactly the same thing. as for the PS3 having better games. a good game is a good game no matter what system it's on, a good game doesnt credit the console, it credits the developer. and as far as old school go's. old shcool doesnt envolve 3d graphics and polygons or hd, it's pixels and a one way street to CONTRA hell, 10 dots made to look like a spaceship with a gun shooting down 5 dots that look like nothing but they are your enemy raining down from outside your tv.

i'm done venting... thank you for reading, this i shall now enjoy beowulf & grendal.

LOL.

Sony did buy their way in. They had no game studios, no previous game development experience. they just had wads of cash for the commercials and buying 3rd party titles as exclusives and studios. Next time tell him to STFU.

Seriously are you saying that.  It was nowhere near as much as Microsoft.  Think about the GTA IV exclusive deal.  (50Mil)  Honestly '09 was the real first year that Sony has advertised their games and console.  We didn't hear much about the PS3 unless word of mouth. Eventually after the price cut you heard the "It does everything" commericals.  So get real!

Wow. Normally I have the opposite incident happen when I go to gamestop! This is proof that microsoft is d00med! :P

Yes, I do too,   it is kinda why i stopped going there, that they are a rip off with their used games.  I like going to Best Buy where the sales people dont know much of anything.

Gamestop was able to realize in the beginning that they were the gaming gods but eventually other companies starting to catch on with the used game thing.  I hate/love there used games pricing.  Man when you trade in a used game they don't give you much at all.  Honestly that pissing me off.  So now I hit the web and go else where.  I still do my pre-orders through them, but for the most part the used games come from www.cheapassgamer.com.  Gamestop is going to suffer big time in 2010.

To be fair, to any companies they gonna have to do anything to win....that's how it goes sometimes.

That's true! Companies will cut each other at any point.  Remember when the PS3 was at a monster price...man theat was a long time ago...lol They broke out a comparision list for all the things you get with a PS3.  It made you think twice about getting a 360 and if you wanted something cheaper get a Wii.  You're right and when you're right there is no arguement.

When I bought Bayonetta, the guy asked me if I wanted to get the 1 year warranty. I sarcastically said "Nah...games don't break". He replied ,"No. But Xbox 360's do". Then he told me to "Turn down the music unless I was really into J-pop." I told him that I'd use my 360 to make a custom soundtrack.

But really, I like J-Pop.
