When I was banned,I could still get on this site,I just could'nt log in. Which isn't that big of a deal to me. So is being banned really a big deal. Can the moderators ban you from the site all together? I'm just curious that's all.

We don't typically revoke the ability to view content, just the ability to post throughout the community. 99.99% of bans are earned for abusing the privilege of posting or commenting and as such the appropriate response is to revoke that privilege.

If you don't post on the community very often then you likely aren't one who will be abusing it as those who tend to get themselves into trouble on a regular basis like to type a whole lot despite rarely actually having something to say.

Yes, we can completely ban you from viewing this website. This only happens to the worst repeat offenders. Of course, you can always use a proxy to view the website, but then your online experience will be slower.

Is it a big deal? It really depends on how much you value the community. Some people obviously value it so much that they feel obligated to create alt accounts and cause more problems.
