Not that surprised since all the songs had their time in my skateboarding playlist and I used my iPod the most while, believe it or not, skateboarding.

I know. It's utterly brilliant in its cheesiness. I'd go crazy if I only listened to intense music all the time. Shit, look at the rest of that list. If I pulled the next 40 from my top plays, probably 35 of them would be serious songs. Fake Plastic Trees makes me want to put a gun in my mouth. It's the ultimate defeatist song.

I don't have an iPod as I'm very old fashioned when it comes to music:
If I like a song, I always buy the album where it's from and take my time to discover the rest of the songs at home. Then I rip the whole album to the stand-alone music server I bought 2 years ago and burn my own random CD compilations of favourite songs for the car.

As this procedure is becoming more and more inconventient (I carry about 60 of these CD compilations in my car), I plan to finally buy a car radio with MP3 support.

My most played songs during the last few weeks are most probably

We Are the People - Empire of the Sun
Move For Me - Kaskade & DeadMau5
St. Petersburg - Supergrass
Bibo No Aozora/Endless Flight (Babel OST Ending Music) - R. Sakamoto/J. Morelenbaum/G. Santaolalla
Oops (Oh My) - Tweet feat. Missy Elliott
Any Major Dude Will Tell You - Steely Dan
Big Time - Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Blue Ridge Mountain - Fleet Foxes
Don't Wake the Scarecrow - The Felice Brothers

The Mary Tyler Moore theme song (1st season)
