Forums - General - Microsoft Cell Phone....When?

Microsoft bought DANGER in 2008.  DANGER is most famous for making the SIDEKICK phone for T-Mobile.

This begs the question as to when Microsoft will release its own branded phone.  Microsoft obviously didn't spend $500 million to buy DANGER for no reason.  Although $500 million is chump change for Microsoft, as an investor and shareholder I would like to know what the heck DANGER has been doing for 2 years.  What in the heck is taking so long??

With the release of Google's new Android phone upon us, and the decreasing market share of Windows Mobile, when will Microsoft get its phone on the market?

Around the Network

I guess after RIM, Apple, HTC, etc. have gobbled up all the smartphone growth. Microsoft only seems to try to expand into a market once it's firmly established and expensive as hell to break into.

Here you go. What Danger did from acquisition by MS to its eventual death. Page 3 is the best part, but read all of it.
