but, at the end of the 2009 holiday shopping week:

NSMBwii = 8.20 million

MW2 = 8.40 million

and giving that MW2 had a 1 week sales advantage, I think it's safe to give Reggie the win

I think he dind't specified Americas, did he? He spoke of NPD but didn't say "NSMBW will outsell MW2 in Americas through the holiday season".

IMHO choosing the X360 versione of the game is as right (he didn't specificly spoke of 360 version, the guy who was interviewing him chose it) as considering the WW sales, he never mentioned Americas in the same way he never mentioned which version (atleast not directly)...

now the real question: will nsmbwii outsell CoD: MW2 360 in americas LTd?

And what region do you think NPD tracks ?

I know but he didn't specifically say "in the Americas" he just said "after NPD data". I know he wanted to mean just in the amercias, but it's the same problem of considering the ps3 or the 360 version, he never specifically said what he meant!

He said that we needed to give him until the time that the NPD results came in, but no he didn't stipulate that the bet was specific to America.

The real question: Why do we see new threads on this topic every damn day. I mean seriously, you created this SAME topic a couple of days ago (http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=96864&page=1) and it had plenty of responses, why the need for another with the same question? Using the forum search tool I found 5 threads on this bet alone, along with people mentioning it in any sales thread relating to the two games.

Just for the record Reggie said:

Either way I say NSMBW will very likely outsell MW2 in America, world wide and both HD consoles combined LTD.
