which gaming system will be on top in 2010 Game Platform Power Rankings?

PSP 0 0%

PS3 29 65.91%

XBOX360 4 9.09%

the game platform power rankings shows the system with the highest quality games for the year on metacritic. i am going with ps3, seeing as how they won 2009 and 2010 looks even better....it will be close though with the 360.

PS3 winner, 360 very close, Wii behind, PSP and DS not even to be taken into the whole match and PC ignored

Currently playing: MAG, Heavy Rain, Infamous

Getting Plat trophies for: Heavy Rain, Infamous, RE5,  Burnout and GOW collection once I get it.

It's actually PC.

I looked through the planned exclusives for each platform in 2010.  This year, PC will have more exclusives than PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii, combined.

StarCraft II alone will PWN Final Fantasy XIII, Halo Reach and God of War. (Maybe not Gran Turismo right away, but I think it ultimately will.) StarCraft is the national religion of South Korea. When it is released, South Korea's GDP will take a hit. Asia actually has television channels dedicated to StarCraft competitions. As far as I know, neither Final Fantasy XIII, Halo, God of War nor Gran Turismo has that sort of influence.

And what platform is StarCraft on?

So PC will dominate in 2010.

However, PS3 has the most ruly, rude, immature, mindless evangelist fanboys, who will become even more obnoxious this year.

Just by looking at the order for 2009, it looks like they take the order of the most successful consoles, and flip it over. I'm guessing they dock the most successful systems for having the most shovelware because they have the most games? Seems like a weird way to order them, since the bottom 50% of any system's library don't affect people's system purchase decisions in any way.

Or if I'm wrong, how do they decide these power rankings? I haven't heard of them before this thread.

The system that will got least games, i.e. PS3. Pretty much like previous gen, GC>Xbox>PS2 in terms of average metacritic score.

Xbox 360 will continue to lose grounds to PS3. Both will continue to grow, but the PS3 will grow at a faster rate.

However, the install base of PS3 will not overtake Xbox 360 in 2010. It will happen in late 2011 or 2012.

Just when PS3 begins to overtake Xbox 360 in 2011/2012, Microsoft will release the next console.  The new Xbox console will likely has some serious quality problem like the 360 did with RROD -- but it won't bother Microsoft because Microsoft knows that they can get away with selling defective products (it's a Microsoft's tradition) and customers will just have to put up with it.

welll all fanboys are rude/immature (thats what the term fanboy illustrates), but atleast the ps3 fanboys dont pirate their games like most pc players do.

OT. i get how pc might dominate 2010, but i dont see how you have to bring up ps3 fanboys into the thread >_>

I say ps3 since this was a runaway year for it.. But 2010.. *I* believe will be a different story all together Portables usually are shit out of luck when it comes to total amount of awesome games, but that's not to say they don't get underrated gems and others though.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.
