@theprof

there are countless rrod survey threads here....

your 1st response to kasz proves this is trolling. do you have a 360? do you want a 360? why do you care? and your poll couldnt prove a thing... doubtless you voted and many other non 360 fans did too.

I actually did have a 360, back when that first Fight Night came out and it lasted less than a year, so I clicked that. Is there anything else you'd like to assume about me?

I'm sorry that I didn't check for other RROD survey threads. I don't mean to throw it in your face. I just like studying people and their responses in regard to "stressful" situations. I'm a psych major after all. I'm not sitting here going "LULZ 360 SUCKS", I'm looking at these numbers and looking at them critically.

As I said to Kasz, you are assuming that you know the question.

Did you know that on most job questionnaires the most important criteria is validity? They don't care if you run up and down stairs, they don't care if you have sleepless nights, or frequent nightmares. They don't care that you get angry easily. They just want to make sure you are telling the truth, and they do that by pairing questions across a scale. However, they never ask you if you lie.

Many surveys are like that. The person taking the survey assumes they are answering an implied question X, when really they are being studied for behavior Y.

but they dont mean anything... it isnt a controlled sample... its just an internet poll where countless ps3 fans will vote less than 1 year for a laugh.

*sits back*

How do you feel about that?

PS: you need to learn to think outside of the box. Just because something isn't randomly selected and balanced doesn't mean that it is any less significant.

Maybe the real reason I made this thread is to see how many people would vote for something "stressful" without posting a reply.

this is kinda misworded, my friend had one a year ago, but had another that lasted longer, so if im him and said its a year it would sound like just lasted a year after it died.

My first(launch-console) broke in January of 2006
My second broke in June of 2006
My Third broke in December of 2006
My fourth almost lasted one year, it broke in November of 2007 which is when i gave up

i bought my 360 in june and so far no problems there should be another answer "since i bought my 360 everything is fine" - i don't want to start offtopic why this poll feels like trolling.

Hmm, so about 45% of respondent's 360s have lasted more than 2 years. I am actually surprised by those numbers. At first I thought the failure rate was higher on a per year basis.

Those numbers we heard before about fail rate being 60% are not so bad if nearly everyone else hasn't had a problem.

(Yes I think 2+ years without a problem is pretty good at a high-tech standpoint)

@severance

dont worry about it... anyone with a broken 360 broken anytime in the last 4 years can answer less then 4 years anyway, 1 year is less than 4 years..... its just bullshit

Except that it says "the longest" right in the thread title.

Stop derailing my thread and please go away now, I won't ask again.

That's what "Other" is for.

my last word:

the word "longest" matters not unless you use >.  by using < anything can still fit into <4years even when saying longest.

i'll let you off though... you do study maths and not english.

bye.

Like I said before, my underlying question is different from the one you think it is.

Over 2 years and counting, never had so much as a hiccup.
