I have no problem with your opinion. The problem is that you called the thread like your opinion would be the absolute truth. I don't get what you are trying to say with that loyalist thing. Non nintendo game will win because they are better games according to majority of this site.

I normally don't agree with you but you hit it on the nose right here. When I hear "loyalist" I sense more like "BLIND." ME for example is not my cup of tea, nor is it on my PS3 but I cannot dismiss the fact that it is a VERY good game. Very solid story, Very solid when it comes to npc interaction as well as decision making, as well as excellent gameplay. This all coming from a PS3 fan but I know a good game when I see it and play it (yes I bothered playing it). Gears of War was also another excellent title and I enjoyed it ALOT. It redefined the TPS genre with solid controls and a refined cover system with a pretty good story. The co-op was also a nice addition and I spent countless hours with my best friend playing it and replaying it. SMG is good but not great, also having played it. Metroid prime trilogy is also very good despite not being my cup of tea (I prefer traditional metroid). Zelda TP was graphically very good but gameplay was ok. I have yet to see a Zelda title surpass the brilliance that was Ocarina of Time. NSMBW, rehashed Mario that in order to breathe fresh air, brought 4 player co-op which was a nice addition, but I still hold it below SMB3, my favorite in the series. Demon's Souls remains a nearly unmatched experience to me as a game that doesn't hold your hand, where you live the story through your actions and dialogue. A non Nintendo game winning doesn't mean anything other than it is more quality. I am sorry but I have yet to see the Wii produce something as amazing as RE4 which displayed an amazing use of the control as well as Muramasa: The Demon Blade. MGS4 and Uncharted 2 are at the top because they are quality titles in EVERY aspect and have replayability value on both single player and multiplayer. ME also has the same and to a lesser extent Halo 3, but the multiplayer on that keeps it fresh. End of Thread. :p
Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)
I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/ hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.

Every way except originality. I love Modern Warfare 2 but I'll be the first to admit (besides the graphical improvements) it could have just been like a $40 update to CoD4.

Spec ops is good, and its a lot of fun. I don't think it makes it worth $60 though. Now that I've beaten them all on veteran I don't see myself replaying them any time soon. And I'm not going to replay the campaign. The online is amazing though.

I updated the list.
Uncharted 2 is definitely your best game of the generation!
Considering the amount of PS3 fans too, it's quite normal Galaxy is behind.
So, I see that most people didn't find the potential in Halo 3.

I can't defend the graphics, it is the Aurora engine after all. However what made the game for me was indeed the combat system, the atmosphere, and the fact choices actually had ramifications many many hours down the road. |
I agree. I often praised The Witcher to my friends because of the combat and atmosphere.
Funny thing, my friend complained that The Witcher on his machine didn't seem to work. Gerald seemed to ignore his commands to attack almost constantly. Later, my friend found out you actually have to click on the enemy to get him to attack. He was just clicking, not paying attention to where his pointer was.
